Paola Bellomi is specialised in Spanish Contemporary Literature. Her main research topics are Spanish Theatre and Narrative, Digital Literature and Digital Humanities with a sociocultural perspective. She is Principal Investigator in the national project SIR E.S.THE.R. Enquiry on Sephardic Theatrical Representation. She's member of Fenix: Network for Research on Female Exiles, Refugees and Migrants (Utrecht University).
She’s member of:

- the Jury of the “I Premio BETA Félix Hangelini de Hispanismo” for the best PhD thesis
She’s currently co-directing two doctoral thesis in collaboration with the University of Algeria and the University of Jaén.
She’s an external evaluator of the CONEX-Plus project (within the framework of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions MSCA COFUND scheme).
