Nicoletta Vettori is graduated cum laude in Law (2006) and she holds a Ph.D in Public, Urban and Environmental Law (2011) at the University of Florence.
She is Associate Professor in Administrative Law at the Department of Business and Law (University of Siena) where she teaches Administrative law and market regulation, Administrative law for business and Environmental law and climate litigation. In 2025, he was awarded the Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale (ASN) (National Scientific Qualification) for the position of university professor of the first rank (GIUR 06-12/D1).
She is head of the module in Public Administration and Sustainability of the 39th and 40th cycle Doctorate Course in Law and Management of Sustainability - DiMaS of the Department of Business and Legal Studies of the University of Siena. (a.a. 2024/2025-2023/2024) and vice-director of the 2nd Level Master's Degree Course in Management, Innovation and Governance of Public Administrations, and co-responsible for the module ‘Digitisation, public data regime and personal data protection’ (4 cfu, 24 teaching hours) and the module ‘Public procurement and public-private partnerships ’ (4 cfu, 24 teaching hours), organised by the Department of Business and Legal Studies of the University of Siena. (a.a. 2024/2025-2022/2023). She is a member of the scientific committee of the journal IANUS and member of the editorial boards of the Journal "Diritto pubblico".
She has published two scientific monographs and many scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and books. Her researches mainly focus on health and social service law, environmental and landscape law, administrative transparency, sanctioning power of independent supervisory authorities.
