I’m part of the Molecular Immunology group (headed by Prof. Cosima Baldari) at the Department of Life Sciences. My research activity focuses on molecular characterization of signal transduction pathways in lymphocyte and mast cell activation, differentiation and apoptosis and dysregulation of these processes in immune related diseases and tumor. Recently, my research activity includes characterization of molecular mechanisms underlying multiple sclerosis pathogenesis including the contribution of astrocytes to neuroinflammation. My scientific production consists of more than 50 scientific papers published in international peer reviewed journals.
