Michele Pellegrini (Jesi 1971) is associate professor at the Department of Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage (DSSBC), where he teaches Medieval History and Religious History of the Middle Ages.
He graduated in History in 1997 from the University of Siena, and completed his training in the PhD in History of the Medieval Church and Heretical Movements (University of Padua). From 2000 to 2006 he was lecturer on contract and from 2006 to 2020 lecturer and Research Associate at the University of Siena.
He has been scientific director of a research project of relevant national interest (Prin 2009) on the history of adoption, and has participated in numerous national and international research projects, in which he has dealt with religious experiences, history of assistance, urban identity, and social history in Italy in the Middle Ages.
He coordinates since 2012 the "Progetto Tabula-For a digital edition of the Tavola delle Possessioni del comune di Siena" He is a member of the board of directors of the journal "Quaderni di Storia religiosa Medievale"
