Simone Giusti is an associate professor of Italian Literature and teaches Teaching Italian Literature in the Master of Arts degree program in Modern Literature at the University of Siena. He is director of the qualifying pathways for teachers in grades A22 and A12. He has been teaching in secondary school for nearly two decades, conducting field research and carrying out professional teacher training and consulting for educational agencies, research organizations, schools, universities and publishing houses. His research activity focuses on the didactics of literature and the processes of transmission and translation of works. He is co-director of the journal "Per leggere" and of the publishing series "QDR/Didactics and Literature" (Loescher), "Stories for People and Communities" (Franco Angeli), "Education and Social Research" (Pensa Multimedia).
