In 2009 I obtained the master’s degree in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Padua with a thesis on the topic of e-learning. With this thesis I contributed to the design and implementation of the bachelor online degree program in psychological science and techniques of the University of Padua. During the two-year course I spent a period of study abroad (Erasmus program) at the Faculty of Psychology in the Somosaguas Campus of the Complutense University of Madrid.

In 2015 I obtained the title of PhD at the Doctoral School in Pedagogical Sciences, Education and Training of the University of Padua. The three-year research period focuses on the topic of on-line teaching methodologies aimed at personalizing learning. In 2013, during the second year of the school, I did a research period abroad as a visiting scholar at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri (USA).

In 2016 I became a fixed-term Researcher and in 2021 Associate Professor for the scientific disciplinary sector of General Didactics at the University of Siena where I teach Didactics and digital education.

The field of research that characterizes my work is that linked to digital technologies and their impact in organizational and social contexts. The research trajectory is twofold: the first focuses on the impact that digital technologies have on the professional development of school and university teachers; the second concerns the impact of digital technologies on the professional development of the socio-pedagogical professional educator, specifically the design, by the latter, of educational and entertainment products for the creative industry.

I followed these trajectories contributing to the work of multidisciplinary teams in various projects and research networks including: progetto PRIN "Emp&Co Employability and Competences - Curricula innovativi per creare nuove professionalità”; gruppo di lavoro SIPED "Pratiche lavorative e formazione”; progetto Erasmus Plus “I Have Rights”; Italian Transformative Learning Network;  gruppo di lavoro SIPED "Apprendimento trasformativo e metodologie attive di sviluppo;  progetto “TECO-D. Test sulle competenze disciplinari”; progetto “FORWARD - Formazione ricerca e sviluppo di strategie community based per supportare l’integrazione e prevenire la radicalizzazione islamica”;  progetto “Percorsi di orientamento e tutorato per promuovere il successo universitario e professionale”; RED LATINOAMERICANA para el cambio social y el aprendizaje emancipatorio; progetto “FORWARD - FORmazione Avanzata peR la competitività azienDale”, progetto “IN.S.I.E.M.E. 4.0 - Innovare, Sviluppare, Integrare e Monitorare Esperienze 4.0”, Progetto Manufacturing 4.0.
