Currently a Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Statistics at the University of Siena and teacher for several courses: Statistics for Business Decision Making (Department of Business and Law), Statistics (Department of International Political Science), and Statistics for Agribusiness (Department of Life Sciences). Since completing her Ph.D. in Applied Statistics, her research has primarily focused on the implementation of economic indicators of poverty and well-being from multiple perspectives: cross-sectional and longitudinal, multidimensional (using fuzzy set approaches), absolute or relative, monetary and non-monetary, at national or local levels, and for small areas. She has developed variance estimation methodologies for all these indicators, particularly based on the Jackknife Repeated Replication Method, which have been officially adopted by Eurostat, the OECD, and EU Member States. More recently, her research has expanded to include sustainability issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda, with the aim of developing multidimensional sustainability indicators and appropriate weighting systems to ensure comparability with various international databases on the topic. In the area of sustainability, she is currently involved in several projects: Siena #2030 and Arezzo2030, for the development and implementation of SDG indicators at the provincial level, where she serves as scientific director. In the PNRR Agritech project, she is actively involved in Work Package 3 and leads two tasks. She is also an expert SAS software developer and has participated in numerous European research projects in roles such as researcher, client liaison manager, database manager, and SAS specialist. She has also served as a consultant for the OECD. Since obtaining her degree, she has maintained continuous teaching experience at various levels, including university courses, Ph.D. programs, master's programs, and international summer schools. She has taught both basic and advanced statistics and has presented her research at international conferences as a speaker. She has supervised numerous master's theses and serves as a referee for international scientific journals.
