I am Associate Professor of Public Economics at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Siena. I was Visiting Research Fellow at the Leeds University Business School (2017) and at the University of Cambridge (2015), Research Associate at the European University Institute (2010-2011) and Visiting Researcher at the UCLA (2009) and at the NTNU (2019). I was also consultant for the Corporate Affairs Division of the OECD. I am currently a Council Member of the International Association for the Economics of Participation and Co-Editor of the Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics (published by Wiley). I am also member of the American Economic Association and the European Corporate Governance Institute as well as member of other widely recognized associations. I presented my papers at international conferences held in many universities, including Harvard, Columbia, MIT and Sciences Po. My research is at the intersection between organizational economics and economic policy. I have a strong interest in the theory of the firm, worker-management, labour market regulation, economics of innovation.
