Presentation

I am Full Professor of Economic Policy and Head of Department at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Siena. I was Fellow at the School of Management and Labor Relations of the Rutgers University (2022-23), Visiting Professor at NTNU (2019) and at the Leeds University Business School (2017), Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge (2015), Research Associate at the European University Institute (2010-2011) and Visiting Scholar at the UCLA (2009). I was also consultant for the Corporate Affairs Division of the OECD and for WIPO - United Nations. I was a Council Member of the International Association for the Economics of Participation and Co-Editor of the Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics (published by Wiley). I am member of the American Economic Association as well as member of other widely recognized associations. I presented my papers at international conferences held in many universities, including Harvard, Columbia, MIT and Sciences Po. My research is at the intersection between organizational economics, industrial economics and economic policy. I have a strong interest in the theory of the firm, worker-management, labour market regulation, economics of innovation.
