I am Full Professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Siena and Fellow at School of Management and Labor Relations of the Rutgers University (2022-23). I was Visiting Research Fellow at the Leeds University Business School (2017) and at the University of Cambridge (2015), Research Associate at the European University Institute (2010-2011) and Visiting Researcher at the UCLA (2009) and at the NTNU (2019). I was also consultant for the Corporate Affairs Division of the OECD and for WIPO - United Nations. I was a Council Member of the International Association for the Economics of Participation and Co-Editor of the Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics (published by Wiley). I am also member of the American Economic Association and the European Corporate Governance Institute as well as member of other widely recognized associations. I presented my papers at international conferences held in many universities, including Harvard, Columbia, MIT and Sciences Po. My research is at the intersection between organizational economics and economic policy. I have a strong interest in the theory of the firm, worker-management, labour market regulation, economics of innovation.
