Maria Rita Digilio is a Full Professor of Germanic Philology.

She studies Old Saxon, Old High German, Old English, and the German Arthurian romance.

From 2015 to 2022, she served as Rector’s Delegate for Guidance and Tutoring Activities.

In 2022 she served as Rector's Delegate for Students with disability

Since 2023, she has been the Director of the Doctoral Program in “Philology and Criticism of Literature” at the University of Siena.
