After graduating in translation and interpreting and receiving a PhD in English for Specific Purposes, I was a research assistant at the University of Bologna, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and the University of Siena, and an assistant professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. From November 2016 to September 2021 I worked at the Department of Education, Human Sciences, and Intercultural Communication (DSFUCI) of the University of Siena, first as an assistant professor and then as an associate professor.
My research interests include:
- Conversation Analysis applied to (interpreter-mediated) interaction in institutional settings
- English as a Lingua Franca and English for Specific Purposes
- Corpus linguistics applied to the teaching of EFL and translation
