Associate professor in Economic Policy. She teaches development economics, international economics and public economics. She received her PhD in Development Economics from the University of Florence in 2007. She was visiting as doctoral student at the Georgetown University (2005) in Washington DC. She worked on themes related to development economics at the European University Institute as post-doc fellow (2009/2010) and as academic consultant (2009). Her professional experience includes short-term consultancies for the World Bank (in the 2008-2012 period). She has also collaborated in research projects on the study of violence against women and gender inequality. From 2013 to 2017, she was research fellow at the Department of Economics and Statistics in Siena. From 2018 to 2020, she was senior researcher in economy policy at the Department of International and Political Sciences.
