Iolanda Ruggiero is an associate professor at the Department of Law of the University of Siena, where she teaches courses in Roman Law History, Fundamentals of European Law, Law of Literature, and Law in Literature as part of the Bachelor's Degree in Legal Services, based in Arezzo. A lawyer, PhD, and member of the Società Italiana di Storia del Diritto and the Accademia Petrarca di lettere, arti e scienze in Arezzo, she is a full professor in the scientific disciplinary sector of Roman Law and Fundamentals of European Law. She is also a visiting professor of Roman Law at the Pontificia Università Gregoriana, Faculty of Canon Law. She has published papers in journals and anthologies and is the author of the monographs Ricerche sulle Pauli Sententiae (Milano, 2017) and Iulius Paulus. Ad legem Iuliam et Papiam libri X (Roma-Bristol, 2023). Her scientific interests mainly concern the jurisprudence of the Severan age and the textual tradition of the works of Iulius Paulus.
