Associate Professor, Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences - DISPOC, University of Siena.

I teach Media Industry and Strategic Communication in the Master's degree in Public and Cultural Diplomacy (LM-81), Journalism and New Media in the Bachelor's degree (DM 270) in Communication Sciences and Sociology of Culture and Communication in the Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences of the Health Professions, University of Siena. I am a Communication Delegate for the same Department (DISPOC) and Member of the teaching committee for the degree course in Communication Sciences. 

At the "Sapienza" University of Rome I am a member of the committee for the PhD in Communication, Social Research and Marketing, Department of Communication and Social Research.

I was a Research Fellow at the Department of Social and Economic Sciences, Sapienza University of Rome (2019-2020). Prior to this I was a Research Fellow at the Department of Communication and Social Research at the same university, where I worked on several research projects (political incivility, intermedia agenda and hybrid media system, networked publics, communication and promotion of cultural heritage, and new forms of online political participation).

I hold a Ph.D in Communication Sciences from the Sapienza University of Rome. I taught Political Communication and New Media for several years (Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome,  Sapienza University of Rome, Iulm University of Milan). I have often been a visiting fellow and visiting professor in France. 

Main fields of study: Political communication, new media and democracy, public sphere, political incivility, Journalism and new media and online hate speech.

Member of the executive Board of the Association of Political Communication “AssoComPol”.

Member of the "Association of Internet Researchers Conference" (AoIR).

Member of the Italian Society of Political Science (SISP - Società Italiana di Scienza Politica).
