I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the Department of Social Political and Cognitive Sciences where I teach Public Diplomacy in the Master's degree programme in "Public and Cultural Diplomacy" and Public Opinion Science in the Bachelor's degree programme in "Communication Sciences". I am a member of the Centre for the Study of Political Change and serve as Deputy Director of the Laboratory for Political and Social Analysis (LAPS), the Survey Research Center of the University of Siena. I am the editor-in-chief of the Working Paper Series in Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Department of Social Political and Cognitive Sciences and chair the University Survey Policy Committee. I also coordinate the double degree programme in Public and Cultural diplomacy offered in collaboration with the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland).
My main research interests are in public opinion, particularly in connection to international events, political communication, international relations and deliberative democracy.
