Gianluca Murgia is Associate Professor in Engineering Management. He holds a PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and was a visiting professor at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven from 2016 to 2018. He teaches "Planning and management control" in the B.Sc. in Management Engineering and "Marketing and Innovation Management in the M.Sc. in "Engineering Management".
Currently his research interests mainly focus on the analysis of the following topics:
- research collaborations, in particular collaborations between universities and companies
- joint development of patents between several organizations
- technology transfer
- management of innovation processes
- digital transformation in SMEs
- management and simulation of business processes
- marketing
- introduction of new technologies in healthcare organizations
