Presentation

Francesca Montagnani is a full-time Researcher and Assistant Professor in Infectious Diseases at the Department of Medical Biotechnology of the University of Siena.

Her research activity is mainly focused on antibiotic resistance, prophylaxis and treatment of infections in immunosuppressed patients, lung transplant recipients and SARSCov2 infection. She coordinates and participates in national multicenter studies on the infectious disease management of lung transplant recipients within LungSITO (lung section of the Italian Organ Transplant Society), of which she is a member as a representative of Italian Infectiuos Diseases Specilaist who deal with lung transplantation.

She also participates in projects relating to patients infected with major hepatotropic viruses and HIV-HCV co-infected.
