Presentation

Full Professor in Contemporary History. He obtained a degree in Political Science in 1991, a Ph.D. in History of Africa in 1995 and a Specialization in Economics and Transportation Policy in 1997.

He was Director of the Doctorate in Contemporary Historical Sciences at the University of Siena, member of the editorial staff of the review "Storia e Futuro" and the international magazine "Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering". 

Since October 2013 to October 2019 he was the chairman of the Department of Political and International Sciences.

Since November 2022 he has been the delegate of the rector of the University of Siena for transport and mobility.
