Presentation

Christoph Lumer is a full professor of moral philosophy at the University of Siena. He received his doctorate from the University of Münster (Germany), was a researcher and then associate professor of philosophy at the University of Osnabrück (Germany); since 2002 he has been professor at the University of Siena.

His main fields of research are: normative and metaethics, environmental ethics, action theory, theory of practical rationality and argumentation theory.

He has published the books "Praktische Argumentationstheorie" ("Practical Argumentation Theory") (1990), "Rationaler Altruismus" ("Rational Altruism") (2000) and "The Greenhouse" (2002) as well as numerous essays.
