Lucio Barabesi is full professor at the Department of Economics and Statistics, where he teaches the courses of “Inference for Data Science” and “Probability”. His main research interests deal with statistical fraud detection, statistical analysis of scientific performance, non-standard probability laws, environmental sampling under design-based approach and random variate generation. He was associate editor for the Journal of Agricultural, Biological and Environmental Statistics (2003-2010), for Environmental and Ecological Statistics (2004-2023) and for Statistical Methods and Applications (2009-2011). He was co-editor for Statistical Methods and Applications (2011-2015). He is author of about 100 scientific papers in Scopus.
