ERTOLA EMANUELE

After graduating in Rome and earning his PhD from the University of Florence, he worked as a researcher at the University of Siena (2018–2019, 2023–2026) and the University of Pavia (2021–2023). His research focuses on twentieth-century history, with particular emphasis on colonialism, migration, decolonization, and the ways in which democracies have grappled, and continue to grapple, with the complex cultural and material legacies of colonialism and authoritarian regimes.
