Eleonora Belloni
She is Associate professor of Contemporary history.
After her B.A. in Political Science at the University of Siena, in 2006 she obtained a PhD in "Theory and history of modernization and social change in the contemporary age" at the same university.
She was a scholarship holder and research fellow at the University of Siena from 2006 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2019 and a research fellow at the Bocconi University of Milan in 2014-2015 as part of the project "The Great Transformation 1914-1918" promoted by the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation. In 2018 she was a visiting fellow in the historical archives of the European University Institute with a scholarship "Postgraduate Vibeke Sorensen grant" (project European policies for sustainable mobility).
She is a member of the Editorial Board of the journals “Le Carte e la Storia”, “Storia dello Sport. Rivista di studi contemporanei” and “European Studies in Sports History (ESSH)”.
Since 2018 she has been a member of the Governing Council of the Italian Society of History of Sport.
She has participated as a speaker and as an organizer at numerous national and international conferences.
